Jakarta October 30, 2015. Day five of Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2016, which was on October 28, opened with fashion show by Dewan Kerajinan Nasional Daerah (Dekranasda) DKI Jakarta which presents “Lenggak-Lenggok Flora Fauna Jakarta” (Artina Bordir, Batik Chic, Dara Baro, Dara Dara, Mahadevi, Nita Seno Adji, Jasmine Teas, Riana Kesuma, Roemah Kebaya, and Rumah Betawi). Ikatan Perancang Mode Indonesia (IPMI) features Indonesia’s famous designers, such as Mel Ahyar, Tuty Cholid, Carmanita, Danny Satriadi, and Yongki Budisutisna. Dulux as a partner of JFW 2016 presents Didi Budiardjo with his collection that was inspired by the Dulux Colour Trends 2016. 5àSec, also a partner of JFW 2016, features Todjo by Sapto Djojokartiko, Peggy Hartanto, and Albert Yanuar. CLEO Indonesia magazine closed the day with CLEO Fashion Awards 2015 which was divided into two categories; Most Promising Accessories Brand (Byo, We Are The People, Vulantri, and Chiel Shoes) dan Most Innovative Local Brand (Paulina Katarina, Aesthetic Pleasure, and Day And Night). On day six, APPMI presented standout collections from Anastasia Hoeng, Anggia Mawardi, De Irma, Errin Ugaru, Fomalhaut Zamel, Verena Mia, Veronica Vidyanita, and Yurita Puji. Senayan City as a partner of JFW 2016 continues their support for Indonesia’s young designers. Senayan City Capsule Collection F/W 2015 presents special collections for JFW 2016 created by three local brands (Danjyo Hiyoji, Kle, and Hunting Fields). As a premier shopping mall and lifestyle center, Senayan City also presents fashion show collaboration between TIKPrive and Stella Rissa. Furthermore, Yayasan Jantung Indonesia presents “Solometrik” by Danar Hadi in collaboration with Chossy Latu. Fashion label Bateeq offers casual batik outfits designed with comfort. To end the day, L’Oréal Professionnel, also a a partner of JFW 2016, presents Ardistia NY, Rinda Salmun, Billy Tjong, and Sofie. These four famous designers match their collections with the latest “It Looks” hair trends.
Today, on the last day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2016, HijUp.com, as the first Islamic fashion e-commerce in Indonesia, presents “Simulacrum” fashion show (Anemone by Hanni Hananto, Elmeira, Indij, Kami Idea, Lustig, Flaminggo, Harika, Nadjani, Novalia, SAÉ, Silly Sally, Shafa, Syafina, and Una Style). After preliminary shows on different days, fashion school Abineri Ang Atelier et Createur de Mode is back on the last day of JFW 2016 to present their passionate and talented students at two different fashion shows. In collaboration with Korean Cultural Center, JFW 2016 presents Patrick Owen and Soulpot, who exchanged inspiration from cultural elements of each country. Finally, this biggest fashion event is closed by the most awaited fashion show, the Dewi Fashion Knights. Dewi magazine curates its version of the best designers of the year; Peggy Hartanto, FBudi, Lulu Lutfi Labibi, Rinaldy A. Yunardi, and Haryono Setiadi.
