Venice, 26 August 2013 – James Franco, photographed by Francesco Carrozzini, will be the star of the cover of L’Uomo Vogue in September, the issue which has always been dedicated to the world of cinema.
The Canadian actor and director, who will attend the Venice Film Festival 2013, is currently under the direction of his second film Child of God, as well as acting in the film Palo Alto. He will play himself in a documentary film dedicated to him, a sort of backstage of his life: “James Franco: The Last Unicorn” by Marina Abramovic, edited by Milica Zec. The party of L’Uomo Vogue in the lagoon, which as always will precede the start of the Festival, will be the occasion to present an exclusive preview trailer of the film directed by Abramovic, queen of the event.
The presentation takes place at 19:30 on 27th August, with a glamorous cocktail party on the Maserati Terrace.
This year Maserati launches its relationship with the 70th Venice International Film Festival at the Venice Biennale as main sponsor and, in the swimming pool area of the Hotel Excelsior, will create their own central space and vital part of the Venetian film festival dedicated to interviews, meetings, cocktail parties and events.
Receiving the Italian and international guests and the entire jury of the Franca Sozzani Festival, will be editor of L’Uomo Vogue and Maserati CEO Harald Wester.
Moët & Chandon, sponsor of the 70th Venice International Film Festival, will be the official Champagne of the evening which continues with a dinner, in collaboration with Maserati, and an exclusive party at Palazzina Grassi.
(The DJ sets during the cocktail and presentation of the trailer of Marina Abramovic and the party in Palazzina Grassi will be taken care of by Matteo Ceccarini, who will give two live performances.)
