Si è chiusa il 23 novembre l’11. Mostra Internazionale di Architettura, Out There: Architecture Beyond Building, diretta da Aaron Betsky. Record di pubblico con 129.323 visitatori (127.298 nella precedente edizione). In dieci settimane di apertura, l'11. Mostra è stata costantemente ai vertici della classifica delle esposizioni italiane più viste in tutto il 2008, con una media giornaliera di 1.827 visitatori e afflussi record nei weekend di 8.840 persone. Eccezionale l’attenzione dei media: 2.360 i giornalisti accreditati (+20% sulla precedente edizione), 85 le televisioni da tutto il mondo. Grande partecipazione di giovani e studenti, accorsi in più di 60.000.

The 11th International Architecture Exhibition, Out There: Architecture Beyond Building, came to an end on 23rd November. Record numbers for this edition, directed by Aaron Betsky: 129,323 visitors (compared to 127,298 in 2006). During the 10 weeks that it has been open, 'Out There' has constantly been at the top of the rankings of the most visited Italian exhibitions in 2008, with a daily average of 1,827 visitors and numbers during the weekends of 8,840 people. Outstanding attention from the media: 2,360 accredited journalists (+20% on the preceding edition) and 85 television channels from around the world. The number of students to visit the exhibition either in groups or individually is over 60,000.

Prosegue fino a sabato 29 novembre il Laboratorio Internazionale del Teatro, un grande cantiere di ricerca sul tema del Mediterraneo. Oltre all'attività seminariale, il Laboratorio prevede un ricco calendario di spettacoli, incontri, e presentazioni per il pubblico. In programma il 27 novembre Un mare di angeli, recital di canti tradizionali dell’area mediterranea con la stupefacente voce del soprano Myrtò Papatanasiu; il 29 novembre Das Pulverfass (La polveriera), autoritratto in 11 quadri di una generazione senza alternative, del drammaturgo macedone Dejan Dukovski per la regia di Dimiter Gotscheff (spettacolo realizzato nell'ambito del progetto Enparts – European Network of Performing Arts).

The first major workshop on the theme of the Mediterranean runs until Saturday 29th November. Besides teaching activities, the workshop includes a number of performances, meetings and presentations for the audience. Coming up next in the program are A Sea of Angels on November 27th, a recital of traditional songs from the Mediterranean area with the amazing voice of soprano Myrtò Papatanasiu; on November 29th, Das Pulverfass (The Powder Keg), a self-portrait in 11 tableaux of a generation without alternatives, by Macedonian playwright Dejan Dukovski and directed by Dimiter Gotscheff (a performance realized within the Enparts project – European Network of Pe! rforming Arts).

Babylon Europe: Boundless Languages (sabato 29 novembre, Telecom Italia Future Centre, Venezia) è il primo incontro pubblico, in forma di conferenza, delle istituzioni che hanno dato vita al progetto Enparts (European Network of Performing Arts), realizzato col sostegno del Programma Cultura dell’Unione Europea. Una discussione sulla multiculturalità, sulla pluridisciplinarità, sulla divisione e ricomprensione dei linguaggi sulla soglia del terzo millennio, che coinvolge i direttori delle istituzioni che partecipano al progetto (Christine Fischer, Luca Francesconi, Brigitte Fürle, Betsy Gregory, Xavier Güell, Ismael Ivo, Nikita Milivojević, Maurizio Scaparro, Virve Sutinen) e grandi personalità nel campo delle arti dello spettacolo e della cultura (Joël Bons, Cristina Caprioli, Iain Chambers, Heiner Goebbels, Adrian Heathfield, Johannes Odenthal, Maja Pelevi! ć, Eugenio Trías, José-María Sanchez-Verdú).

Babylon Europe: Boundless Languages (Saturday 29th November, Telecom Italia Future Centre, Venice) is the first public meeting, in the form of a lecture, of the institutions that engendered the Enparts project (European Network of Performing Arts), organized with the support of the Culture Program of the European Union. A discussion on the issues of multi-culturality, pluri-disciplinarity, the division and the re-grouping of languages on the threshold of the third millennium, that will involve the artistic directors of the organizations participating in the project (Christine Fischer, Luca Francesconi, Brigitte Fürle, Betsy Gregory, Xavier Güell, Ismael Ivo, Nikita Milivojević, Maurizio Scaparro, and Virve Sutinen) and great personalities in the field of performing arts and culture (Joël Bons, Cristina Caprioli, Iain Chambers, Hei! ner Goebbels, Adrian Heathfield, Johannes Odenthal, Maja Pelević, Eugenio Trías, and José-María Sanchez-Verdú).
